“Hello, my name is Benoit Paire and after the 52nd I am positive about the covid,” said Paire, a 32-year-old who lost the US Open last year due to the covid, and had a positive test before the Hamburg tournament last year.
“Last year was challenging and this season starts exactly the same! I got a cold because of the covidid, but mainly because of all the quarantines around the world, I don’t feel mentally well,” admitted the 46th player in the Paire rankings.
He has repeatedly complained in the past that quarantines and empty stadiums during a pandemic have a negative impact on his psyche.
In today’s tweet, the winner of three ATP tournaments reiterated that he is a fan of vaccination, but wants to be able to live after vaccination as in the pre-pandemic period.
