Does this painting on your wall have any value? What about that watch in your drawer? Sophie Legrand, auctioneer in Normandy for the Millon study, spends a day in Caen (Calvados) to appraise art objects free of charge. This day will take place on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at the Mercure hotel on the Caen marina.
Promising specialties
“People can come with all types of objects as long as they are transportable of course,” explains Sophie Legrand. Paintings, sculptures, jewelry, ceramics, coins but also comic strips or even old games. “We’re seeing a lot of Pokemon cards right now, for example. We have an expert specializing in retrogaming ”. And when you know that a Charizard can sell for more than 400,000 euros, it may be worth the cost of having your childhood games appraised.
The promising specialties at the moment: Asian art (China, Vietnam, Japan), jewelry, gold coins, decorative arts, signed paintings, grands crus, glassware, silverware, stamps.
Confidential estimates
These estimates are only made on reservation of a time slot. They are free and confidential. “Either the person leaves with his object to think, or he leaves it to us and we find a date for an auction in Paris”.
Another free valuation of goods is scheduled in Caen on Thursday, October 21 with the presence of an expert in stamps and postcards.
Practice. Free estimates by appointment only, Thursday September 30.
