Prostate cancer is a type of cancer that affects many men. The prostate is a walnut-sized gland located directly below the bladder and in front of the rectum.
Warning signs of this disease can appear when going to the toilet, including constant urination, or finding blood in the urine.
British oncologist Jerry Kubis warned against ignoring persistent pain in 3 areas of the body, because it serves as an “alarm bell” for this type of cancer.
“Prostate cancer can be treated effectively if detected early,” said Jerry.
He continued: “Although it can affect males at any age, men over the age of 50 are particularly at risk and should be aware of the warning signs that they should pay attention to.”
He urged men to get an examination if they felt severe pain in the thigh, pelvis, or lower back, saying: “Pain in these areas is a warning sign that you may have prostate cancer.”
The British Health Services Authority indicated that there are several other symptoms associated with the toilet, including:
The need to urinate frequently during the night.
Difficulty flowing urine.
Straining or taking a long time to urinate.
Feeling that the bladder has not emptied completely.
Blood in urine or blood in semen.
If the cancer spreads throughout the body, it causes bone and back pain, loss of appetite, pain in the testicles, and unexplained weight loss.
Therefore, it is necessary to consult a specialist doctor immediately, if you notice any of these signs.
