Paid Parking in Chorier-Berriat and Europole Districts of Grenoble Starting November 6 – Resident Rates Available

The free parking in the streets of Chorier-Berriat and Europole districts coming to an end. From Monday November 6the city of Grenoble will switch to the paid parking in green areas.

Application of the resident rate for residents of the Chorier-Berriat and Europole districts in Grenoble, from November 6

Specifically, parking will be limited to 8 hours maximum and will become chargeable from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Free admission will be available between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. THE prices will go from 2 euros for an hour at 10,50 euros for eight hours.

Residents of these neighborhoods will, however, be able to benefit from the resident rate : 12 euros per month, 9 euros for seven days or 3 euros for one day.

Conditions to benefit from the resident rate

Open a resident right online at MonGrenoble or at the user relations reception center (50, avenue du Maréchal-Randon), at the Chorier-Berriat residents’ house (10, rue Henri-le-Chatelier) or at the Bois-d’Artas residents’ house (1 , chemin du bois-d’Artas).

Choice of supporting documents to present:

• vehicle registration document.
• housing tax or tax or non-taxation notice.
• bill less than three months old (water, electricity, gas).
• housing insurance invoice or certificate.

As for the reasons given by the municipality for switching to paid parking in these neighborhoods, it is a matter of “facilitate parking for residents who benefit from a preferential rate, encourage the rotation of vehicles linked to city center activities, limit the parking of workers who come to park by car during the day and encourage alternatives to private car for travel (public transport, cycling, carpooling, walking, car sharing, etc.).”
