The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has warned the public to remain vigilant despite forecasts of warm and humid weather over the next 24 hours, as severe thunderstorms may bring flooding and landslides. PAGASA also noted the possibility of sudden heavy rains, lightning, thunder, gusts of wind and sometimes hail. It predicts partly cloudy to cloudy weather with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms across the archipelago. The easterlies or warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean may continue to bring this weather. However, PAGASA added there is a slim chance of tropical cyclone development in the next few days, and no gale warnings have been issued for any of the country’s seaboards.
PAGASA predicts cloudy weather and isolated thunderstorms in the next 24 hours in the Philippines. Public cautioned for flooding and landslides. No tropical cyclone likely. Seaboards remain safe for sailing.
