Like the zonda once, the newer huayra got an absolutely top version that doesn’t look at the rules and is simply the best it can be. It has been nine years since the unveiling of the first Huayra, but there have been countless different specialties since then. This is their crown.

Let’s start with the most important thing – the engine. Unlike all other versions of this model, the R has an atmospherically filled twelve-cylinder. It does not come from production Mercedes, like the engines of other paganis, but was created by the German company HWA, a subsidiary of Daimler specializing in racing.

Of the six liters of volume gives 850 horsepower and 750 Nm. The highest power is available at 9,000 rpm and all cylinders have exhaust pipes of the same length, so thirty lucky people who buy a Huayru R can look forward to an incredible scream. According to Pagani, R will sound like former Formula 1.

It goes without saying that the huayra R is a purely circular tool. In the standard state, however, it will not be allowed on some circuits on which the 110dB FIA noise limit applies. However, Pagani will supply mufflers to the cars, which will reduce the noise below this limit, so that the owners can drive on such regulated circuits.

The engine together with the transmission are integral parts of the chassis, they are not mounted in the body or subframe on silent blocks, as is common in normal cars. The transmission is also racing – it is a six-speed sequential and does not have classic synchronization rings. Instead, it has so-called dog rings, rings with large teeth between the gears of individual gears, which take care of choosing the right gear.

The advantage over a conventional gearbox with timing rings is that it can be shifted without the use of a clutch and much faster. Moreover, the fastest possible movement of the ring is desirable in order to minimize wear.

In addition to the breathtaking powertrain, aerodynamics are also worth mentioning. The huge wing at the stern and the diffuser with gills in the colors of the Italian tricolor are complemented by active flaps, which help the car with stability and pressure. The new air ducts to the front brakes and around the car work in the same way, as does the intake opening on the roof with fins.

At 320 km / h, the truck is pressurized to a ton. However, he could not ride on the ceiling, his dry weight is 1,050 kg, so we estimate the operating weight to be somewhere between 1,200 and 1,300 kg.

If we stay outside, we see forged wheels with specially developed Pirelli P Zero slicks, under which the brakes with 410mm discs at the front and 390mm at the rear crouch. There are six-piston calipers at both ends of the car. The wheels are suspended by double trapezoids and the shock absorbers are adaptive.
