Remembering Patrick Joseph “Paddy Joe” Glynn
Patrick Joseph Glynn,lovingly known as Paddy Joe,passed away peacefully on January 3,2025,surrounded by the compassionate care of the staff at the Crannogs Unit,St. Brendan’s community nursing unit in Loughrea, ireland. His passing marks a profound loss for his family and friends.
Paddy Joe was predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Kathleen, and siblings Christina, Mary Margaret, Eamon, and Mattie. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories for his brother, John, the extended Glynn and Fahy families, cousins, relatives, neighbors, and countless friends.
The family shared this heartfelt sentiment: “May His Kind And Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.”
A visitation will be held at Seomra Ciúin in Gort Town Hall, Church Street, Gort, Ireland (H91 E0C8) on Sunday, January 5th, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A Requiem mass will follow on Monday, january 6th, at 1:00 PM at the Church of St. Thomas,Peterswell,with burial at Kilthomas cemetery.
The Glynn family extends their deepest gratitude for the outpouring of support during this tough time. They specifically acknowledge the kindness and care provided by the dialysis team at Merlin park, the patient transfer team (Ray, Eamon, Richie, and colleagues), nurse Lisa Reddington of the Diabetic Clinic, and the home care providers who allowed Paddy Joe to remain at home. A special thank you is also extended to the staff at St. Brendan’s community nursing unit for their extraordinary care in his final days.
