Paco Lopez Montemayor, actor of dubbing from movies like “Jim and the Giant Peach”, “Anastasia”, “Princess Mononoke” and “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” passed away today at the age of 62.
The news was announced by the actor of dubbing Moses Palacios through his social networks where he lamented the death of his colleague.
“I deeply regret the premature passing of the much loved and admired singer, musician and actor of dubbing Paco López, with whom I had the honor of working in The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Jim and the Giant Peach. I hug his family and friends who will always miss him.“, wrote the interpreter of “Ding Dong” of “Beauty and the beast”.
Paco was best known for his musical talent, as he was the singing voice of several characters such as “Rasputin” in “Anastasia” when he performed the song “Una noche fatal”.
He was also the singing voice of “Hugo”, one of the gargoyles in “The Hunchback of Notre Dame”.
He voiced “Centipede” in the stop motion film “Jim and the Giant Peach” by Henry Selick and produced by Tim Burton.
He also played several characters on the Disney Channel animated series “Recess.”
The cause of his death is still unknown.
