With turn 26 of the first round, the Green Bay Packers took Jordan Love, quarterback from the Utah State Aggies. Love was the fourth pin selected in Draft 2020.
With the Aggies as a team, he capped the 2018 season with 3,567 passing yards and 32 touchdown passes for just six interceptions, putting the passer on the radar of NFL scopes.
However, those numbers contrasted dramatically with what he had in 2019, where he threw 20 touchdown passes but also 17 interceptions, the most on FBS last year.
According to the draft analyst of ESPNTodd McShay, Love would be the quarterback with the most potential among the available passers for 2020, although he is also widely considered to be the least polished of the top-rated prospects.
Love joins a team led by Matt LaFleur, who is looking for a successor to Aaron Rodgers. The Packers had not selected a quarterback in the first round since 2005 that they took on Rodgers.
