Packages containing explosives were found Wednesday evening in a garage in Nazarethlaan in Eindhoven. The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service (EOD) detonates packages in a safe place. Residents of the surrounding houses were asked to stay on the ground floor.
These are explosive blocks already fully prepared with wires and detonators. These types of explosives would be used for cracking explosives.
The owner of the garage box discovered the explosive himself. He should have cleaned the garage when he saw some bags he didn’t know about. The owner didn’t trust him and called the police.
Part of the road has been cordoned off. EOD specialists were investigating protective suits for bombs and will make sure the packages are detonated elsewhere. The police continue their investigation.
