After the student holiday of 8 December was taken away from us, the packages for the New Year’s party in Pirot, Nis and other cities near our border in Serbia are sold out, reports “Telegraf”.

There are currently free places for Varniachka Banya and Belgrade.

The travel agencies explained that the reason is a greater interest in Serbia, mainly from the residents of Sofia and Plovdiv due to the proximity.

Over the past two years, due to the pandemic and travel restrictions, tour operators have reduced the number of seats they buy at hotels in Serbia. This year, however, there are no restrictions and many people booked, and seats were few and sold out in less than two weeks, the industry commented.

More is expected to be agreed for next year so that there are no deficits, tour operators explained.

Prices

One of the most sought-after cities is Pirot, for which there were offers for two nights with breakfast and two holiday dinners for BGN 400 per person, but there are no more places.

For Nis, the package costs BGN 270 per person with two nights and breakfast, while for a festive dinner an envelope worth BGN 170 is paid.

The price is separate, as the restaurant is not in the hotel, but is only a few kilometers away.

You can go either by car or by taxi, as experts have commented that the prices are decent even on New Year’s Eve, and not like in our country they ask double and triple for courses on the night of the holidays.

Sons

It is good to know that there are restaurants in Serbia that restrict access for children, most likely due to the lack of smoking bans inside.

In Belgrade, it is very likely that you will be staying in a hotel where parking for the car is paid separately and costs around 15 euros, which is almost 30 BGN per day.

Varnyachka Banya is located at a distance of 280 km from the capital of Bulgaria and the offers are the same as in Pirot, i.e. the package costs around 400 BGN. In Belgrade, where the atmosphere is very solemn and promises a rich and exciting New Year, the hotel alone costs around BGN 400-500 and the festive dinner bag costs around BGN 180-200.

North Macedonia is also a popular tourist destination for Bulgarians, but the interest is not that great, tour operators explained. Prices are similar to those in Serbia, with a full New Year’s package available.
