Pachamama will be celebrated through music, food and rituals. See when it is

August 1st is a very special date for all of Latin America because of the celebration of Pachamama Day, Mother Earth, who is venerated and offered the best she gives us throughout the year as a way of thanking her. It is with this noble cause that Yerba Buena will be able to commemorate this holiday with an event that grows in attendance every year.

This is the 6th edition of “Cooking for Pachamama”, which will take place this Sunday, August 4th from 10 am at the House of Culture, located at 1850 Las Higueritas Street. During the day, you can participate in different master classes to learn ancestral cooking techniques and recipes, an offering will be made to Mother Earth and then you can enjoy a program of music and dance to celebrate until dusk.

The event was presented at a conference headed by the general secretary of the Tucumán Tourism Board (ETT), Marcos Díaz, together with the Secretary of Government of Yerba Buena, Fernando de la Orden, and the member of the group of Tucumán chefs who organized the meeting, Marcela Roldán. The Secretary of Culture of the municipality, Patricio Carrasco, and the Deputy Director of Tourism, Víctor Aparicio, also participated in the launch.

The Municipality of Yerba Buena has been collaborating with this initiative for several years. “When we heard about this event, we wanted to join in so that it would become something truly iconic not only for our city but for the entire province,” emphasized De la Orden.
