“Doctor” Pablo Lopez could not find the recipe to dominate the Chicago Cubs’ batting. The Creole took the loss in the game that the Twins fell 7-3 against Chicago.
The Venezuelan was on the mound for 5.0 innings, in which he allowed seven hits, four runs and struck out two opponents, leaving his ERA at 4.74 this season.

This Tuesday’s start was the first for the Zulian in the month of August, who ended up taking the loss in the pitching match against Shota Imanaga, who pitched for 7.0 innings, allowed only two hits, two runs and struck out 10 opponents, to add his ninth victory of the campaign.
The Venezuelan pitcher was not as effective on the mound, as this is the second time this season that he has left with such a low strikeout rate. The occasion prior to his departure on Tuesday was on April 4 when he also struck out only two opponents, taking the loss on that occasion against the Cleveland Guardians.
Lopez had won two straight games before this setback, leaving his record at 10-8. In 129.0 innings he has allowed 120 hits, 68 earned runs, only 29 walks and 144 strikeouts in 23 starts.
