Harry padilla, convict’s attorney on multiple charges, Pablo Casellas Toro, anticipated that it is “unlikely” that his client will be released after the Court of Appeals ordered a new trial.

The man was convicted after the murder of his wife, Carmen Paredes CintronOn the morning of July 14, 2012. They found her on the terrace of her home in the Tierralta III urbanization in Guaynabo with a shot.
In 2015, a jury of six men and six women found him guilty on charges of murder, violation of the Gun Law, destruction of evidence, and offering a false statement of crime.
The decision was 11 to 1 after a deliberation process that took about 10 hours.
