Rap beefs are nothing new in the German rap scene, but when two heavyweights like PA Sports and Fler meet, the whole community pays attention. On Sunday evening the time had come: PA Sports released his long-awaited diss track “Flergate”, in which he used words against the Berlin rapper Fler. And it became clear: He didn’t hold back.
Things had been simmering between the two for weeks, with the escalation starting with Kianush’s diss track and Fler’s response to it. However, the verbal argument reached its climax when Fler called PA Sports a “son of a bitch” in an Instagram story. That was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
PA Sports responded with a direct message to Fler expressing his frustration and disappointment at Fler’s continued attacks. Despite repeated attempts to mediate the conflict, Fler always managed to reignite the flames of the dispute.

PA Sports stressed that he had spared Fler in the past but would now confront him over his continued disrespect. In true rap style, he uses 150 bars. The diss track is titled “Flergate”.
The title “Flergate” is reminiscent of scandals and revelations, which further increased expectations for the diss track. When PA Sports wrote in its story that today was a “good day to die”, it was clear that the long-awaited duel between the two rappers was about to take place.
It remains to be seen how the rap community reacts to “Flergate” and whether Fler has an answer to the diss track. What is certain, however, is that this beef between PA Sports and Fler will reverberate for a long time and will provide a lot of conversation.
