PA 212 Will Demo in Front of the Ministry of Religion, 2,756 TNI-Polri Personnel Deployed

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Community groups on behalf of the Alumni Brotherhood (PA) 212 will hold a demonstration in front of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) Building, Central Jakarta, Friday (4/3/2022).

The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Endra Zulpan confirmed the notification to the police regarding the planned demonstration.

According to the plan, the demonstration will be held by PA 212 in front of the RI Ministry of Religion office on Friday (4/3/2022) afternoon.

“Yes, that’s right. So today the information we received, it is true that there was a letter submission from PA 212 to PMJ,” said Zulpan to reporters, Friday (4/3/2022).

“Notices for public opinion submission activities at the RI Ministry of Religion office,” he continued.

According to Zulpan, the police and the TNI will deploy 2,756 personnel to secure the demonstrations held by the Muslim community.

“In this case, Polda Metro Jaya will certainly provide security services for people who express their aspirations and opinions in public,” said Zulpan.

Zulpan also hopes that the demonstration participants can comply with the rules and prioritize health protocols to minimize the transmission of Covid-19.

“We must remember at this time in the Covid-19 pandemic situation, the situation in Jakarta. PPKM level 3. Therefore, obey the Prokes, so that it does not cause health problems for the community,” he concluded.
