Wasekgen PA 212 Novel Bamukmin said Indonesia as a country with a majority Muslim population and guided by Pancasila should have rejected Coldplay.

“Obviously, we from PA 212 reject the Coldplay concert that supports LGBT,” Novel told Warta Ekonomi, a member of the Suara.com network.

“If you want to hold a concert in Indonesia, besides that Indonesia is a country with the largest Muslim population in the world, LGBT is also very much against the values ​​of Pancasila,” he added.

Novel therefore urged the government to reject the presence of the band fronted by Chris Martin.

“The government must firmly reject Coldplay to maintain the integrity of the nation, especially before a political party. If you let it even support us, it is clear that it is not responsible for the turmoil of Muslims because they might bring snakes like when Lady Gaga’s concert is coming, Miss World or they can blocking the location or besieging the airport,” he said.

“And I urge the committee to immediately abandon their intention to bring in Coldplay because there are still many music groups that do not support LGBT and atheist leanings rather than being harmed, such as the failed concert of Lady Gaga, Miss World and the cancellation of porn actress Miyabi,” he explained.

As previously reported, Coldplay will hold a concert at the Bung Karno Main Stadium in Jakarta on November 15.

Coldplay concert ticket prices in Jakarta from IDR 960,000 to IDR 13.2 million. Ticket sales will be held on 17-19 May 2023.
