“I never imagined that my concert career would end like this,” the 74-year-old singer wrote in a statement he shared on social media. In it, he apologized for the canceled tour, which was supposed to start this spring. It was complicated by a serious injury from 2019, due to which she is canceling her second concert series in a row.
“I appreciate how patiently you’ve waited all this time,” Osbourne wrote to his concert ticket holders, “but I’ve had to honestly admit that I’m not physically fit to play anymore. I know I won’t be able to travel.’
The health of the former Black Sabbath frontman became complicated a few years ago when he fell, re-injuring his spine from 2003. Osbourne almost died in a quad bike accident.
“My voice is fine. But after three surgeries, my body is still physically weak,” Osbourne apologized to fans. Currently, he and his team are figuring out how to hold live performances without the need to travel.
