British media’The Sun’ suggested a way for Arsenal striker Ozil to leave the team, and to pay his weekly wage to the team in installments.
Özil is not getting a chance under coach Mikel Arteta. Virtually inferior history. Özil and Arsenal’s contract with six months left, leaving the team from the transfer market in January could benefit both sides.
However, the problem is the high weekly wage of the external quality. Özil is currently receiving £350,000 a week. DC United of the United States and Fenerbahce of Turkey want Özil, but this weekly pay is too burdensome.
In response, Özil is asking Arsenal to change his contract to pay him only £68,000 per week for the next three years until 2023. That could cut Arsenal’s total spending by £1.2 million, and the team taking it would be less burdensome.
From Arsenal’s point of view, a two-year contract should be signed, but this is formal, and it is likely to be painful as it is an opportunity to reduce spending and dispose of Ozil.
