Özil’s move to FC Bayern failed because of Bushido’s wife
That’s great.
Mesut Ozil (35) caused a stir in his career and excitement off the field during and after his playing days. After stints at German clubs Schalke 04 and Werder Bremen, the DFB player moved to Real Madrid in 2010, where he spent three years alongside world stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo.
Now it’s out: Özil could have played for Bayern in 2010 – the reason why the transfer failed is bizarre.
Because: Özil was in a relationship with Anna-Maria Lagerblom (41/now Ferchichi), the sister of the singer Sarah Connor. The 41-year-old was married to rapper Bushido from 2012 to November 2010 after dating Özil for around a year and a half.
That’s a problem for Bayern – at least that’s what Özil’s father Mustafa thinks. He talked about this time in an RTL+ podcast (“SchwarzRotGold: Mesut Özil visiting friends”) and acted as his son’s manager until 2013.
He said: “In 2010, Mesut almost chose Bayern Munich over Real Madrid.” But the club “didn’t see the relationship with Lagerblom well.”

Curiosity: Anna-Maria and Özil separated in the same year; it was reported that Anna, then seven, was older and separated – and Maria was fed up with him.

Just 69 days later, on July 22nd, he resigned from the national team after the defending champions’ embarrassing elimination in qualifying and accused the DFB bosses of, among other things, racial discrimination – a complete blow for him.
