Prosecuted for corruption, money laundering and illicit enrichment, among others, the former Minister of the Environment Oyé Guilavogui, appeared this Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at the Court of Repression of Economic and Financial Offenses (CRIEF).
Courted by prison guards and accompanied by his counsel Me Salifou Beavogui, the defendant was taken to court to give his version of the facts in the trial against the Guinean state.
As soon as he arrived, the one who was also Minister of Telecommunications under the regime of former President Alpha Condé, took his place in the box of the accused for the opening of the hearing.
At the start of the trial, Oyé Guilavogui was conspicuous by his absence, while he was placed under a warrant of custody at the Central House of Coronthin in Kaloum, for a year.
