Oxxio reports it in an email to customers, which is circulating on social networks. According to a spokeswoman, these are about 50-55 thousand customers. They have been converted into a so-called LostVast contract. Now they will pay much less for gas and electricity.
The terms of the permanent contract stated that customers who switched to the LostVast contract would pay the same rate for one year. The rate customers pay therefore depends on when their contract was converted.
For example, those who converted to a LosVast contract in February this year will pay 34 cents for a kilowatt hour of electricity and 1.59 euros for a cubic meter of gas. This includes taxes. The tariffs are now (November price level) 78 cents for a kilowatt-hour and 3.16 euros for a cubic meter of gas.
Error reported
Oxxio filed the error Nov. 24 with the Consumers and Markets Regulator. The energy supplier will compensate all affected customers in January. The spokesperson has not yet been able to say what amount should be repaid.
