Company Weidemann introduces new models of 90 series wheel loaders for handling extra heavy materials. In addition to the 9080 model wheel loader already on the market, the series has been supplemented with the 9580 model, which weighs approximately 10,800 kg and has a monolithic boom, and the 9580T wheel loader with a telescopic extension boom.

Model 9580 is considered as a complement to Model 9080. It is equipped with an engine as standard Deutz TCD 4.1 S5 (115 kW/156 hp). DOC (Diesel Oxidation Catalyst), DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) and SCR (Selective Catalytic Neutralization) are used for additional exhaust gas purification. The engine complies with the STAGE 5 emissions standard. In addition, the wheel loader is equipped with a hydraulic system with a productivity of 180 l/min and has a higher tipping load (6.32 t) than the 9080 model (5.29 t).

The telescopic extension boom of the 9580T telescopic wheel loader provides a significantly higher lifting height and reach (5.48 m) than that of a monolithic boom loader (4.26 m). Telescopic wheel loaders have the main advantages of articulated wheel loaders – maneuverability, stability and lifting power.

New gearbox Power Drive 370

On request, the 90 series is equipped with the new continuously variable hydrostatic gearbox Power Drive 370which provides more traction and movement speed than its previous models.

In addition to the positive characteristics of the hydrostatic drive, such as easy reverse, convenient speed control and high control precision, this transmission enables the loader to travel from 0 to 40 km/h without shifting. There is no break in thrust and no jolts. In agriculture, loading and unloading, for example, requires a constant traction force in the speed range of 10-20 km/h. Gear box Power Drive 370 precisely meets these requirements because it has no switching stages. If even more traction is required, for example in a silage storage, the new models can be used with an optional traction force increase of 25% to 10.1 t, while maintaining a maximum speed of 30 km/h.

Compact features despite the size

The total length of the model 9580 and model 9580T with bucket is 7.10 m, and the width with standard tires is 2.39 m. The height of the forklift is 3.10 m. Considering the size and weight, this type of machine is equipped with an articulated joint and a oscillating axle at the rear, which ensures optimal maneuverability and traction. The turning angle can reach 40°, therefore the turning radius (of the tire) is 4.90 m, and the inner radius is 2.45 m.

Comfort and ergonomics

The spacious cabin with a comprehensive view is designed according to the latest achievements in the field of ergonomics and transparency. All controls in this cockpit are within sight and easily accessible. The large seven-inch display provides the driver with a continuous overview of the machine and the most important functions. If necessary, using the control element Jog Dial, the flow of hydraulic oil can be adjusted by hand. This solution is very useful when the machine is running a hydraulic attachment that does not require the full hydraulic power of the machine, as it provides very high precision and economy. For the convenience of the operator, a control panel with a multi-function lever and proportional control is integrated into the seat Jog Dialas well as the electronic hand throttle.

The line of 11-ton machines has been supplemented with two new models.

Standard climate control ensures good air flow in the cab and fatigue-free work. An engine heater is also available as an option.

The cover of the engine compartment opens easily upwards, the cab is tiltable. The fenders are removable and with the other easily accessible control hatches, servicing is very easy as all important components are available.

Easy transportation of straw

A trailer with a load capacity of up to 18 t can be used for transporting straw. There are different mounts:
1) a self-extraction hook is installed in the standard package;
2) automatic ball coupling is offered as an option;
3) automatic coupling, ball traction and coupling device K50 (car trailer), ball traction and coupling device K80, Piton Fix, as well as CUNA D3 are available for the coupling block with adjustable height;
4) Auto Hitch coupling – when the hook is not in use, it can be turned by 90° without losing the loader’s clearance.

Both pneumatic and hydraulic trailer brakes are available for the safe movement of towed loads. The machines are optionally equipped – either in accordance with the Regulations for the Approval of Vehicles for Operation (ABE) or in accordance with the operating permit according to the EU directive that regulates the requirements for tractors.

Different choices for accurate job execution

The 90 Series wheel loaders come with high-quality standard equipment as well as a wide variety of options. With a selectable speed of 40 km/h, long distances can be covered quickly, and the machine can also be used as a tractor. A set of work lighting LED lights provides increased comfort and safety in the dark. The hydraulic capacity in the standard package is 150 l/min. By choosing High-Flowit can achieve a performance of 180 l/min., which corresponds to the result best in class. An addition with a fourth control circuit and boom damping is also possible. Additional options are available.
