Barcelona came home with a win from the Santiago Bernabeu. Barca narrow 1-0 win over Real Madrid thanks to Eder Militao’s own goal.

Semi-final first leg Copa del Rey between Real Madrid vs Barcelona took place at the Santiago Bernabeu, Friday (3/3/2023) in the morning WIB. Madrid tried to take the initiative from the start, while Barcelona appeared more careful.

But Barca actually managed to get a goal in the 26th minute thanks to Franck Kessie’s stab. His action resulted in an own goal from Militao.

The hosts controlled the ball more in the remaining time. However, Barcelona appeared disciplined in guarding their defense until The whites failed to record a single shot on target.

The win puts Barcelona in the clear, with the second leg taking place at Camp Nou next month.

Course of the Match

Real Madrid started the game and immediately threatened in the second minute. Dani Carvajal’s pass was completed by Luka Modric, which ended sideways. Then the linesman raised the flag for offside.

GOAL! Madrid scored a goal in the 12th minute. Taking advantage of Barcelona’s sloppy pass in their own area, Madrid seized control and ended with Vinicius Junior’s cross to Karim Benzema. Benzema’s shot ended in the bottom left corner of the goal, but he was in an offside position so the goal was disallowed.

GOAL! Barcelona took the lead in the 26th minute. Kessie escaped and his shot was cleared by Thibaut Courtois, before hitting Eder Militao and going into the net. The linesman raised the flag, but VAR allowed the goal.

Madrid threatened in the 41st minute. Toni Kroos’ cross was met by Carvajal’s volley, but it still bounced. The first round is over.

Pressure from Madrid at the start of the second half. Federico Valverde’s bait was met by Vinicius, whose shot was deflected by Ronald Araujo to the side of the goal.

Vinicius’ attempt to send a cross went straight to the goal. Marc-Andre ter Stegen stretched to block it.

Barcelona almost increased the advantage in the 72nd minute. Torres stabbed in from the left and sent in a pullback which was completed by Franck Kessie, but his shot hit Ansu Fati in front of goal!

Opportunity from Madrid in the 89th minute. Rodrygo’s shot was only slightly off the right side of the goal. Until the match ended, the score did not change.
