A British Army investigation into the killing of an officer concluded that he was shot lifeless by yet another soldier with “lower vision” who he considered was a schooling target.

On March 4, 2021, Sergeant Gavin Heller was killed for the duration of a reside-fire drill at Castlemartin Air Drive Foundation in Pembrokeshire.

The investigation said the determining variable was that the soldier, referred to as Guardian 1, was not wearing contact lenses at the time.

But the report mentioned he had no military-equipped eyeglasses.
