While most fans look forward to Overwatch 2, Blizzard has not yet forsaken the loyal players of the first Overwatch and recently announced that the traditional summer event will start very soon with several new features.
Specifically, Blizzard revealed that the Overwatch Summer Games 2021 event will begin this Tuesday, July 20 and will end until August 10. In this way, players will have 3 weeks to unlock all skins and other cosmetic items that will be available again for a limited time.

What can we expect from Overwatch’s new summer event?
Through a short video, Blizzard has already revealed that this new edition of the Overwatch Summer Games will incorporate 3 new legendary skins, which will be aimed at Symmetra, Mei and Ashe. Then again, it seems fans found out in the trailer that Orisa, Sigma, Whiston, and Pharah will be getting new outfits as well.

As is tradition, players will be able to acquire these themed costumes through the controversial loot boxes or by purchasing them directly with in-game currencies that are obtained by receiving repeated items. Likewise, it is expected that there will be weekly challenges that allow you to unlock other cosmetic items.
On the other hand, skins, sprays, emblems and voice lines that debuted in previous editions of this event will be available again, making it an excellent opportunity to complete the collection.

Finally, players will be able to get their football side back with the return of Lucioball, a special game mode that will be available for a limited time.
