A few days ago we learned that Blizzard postponed the release of Overwatch 2 again. The news has upset gamers around the world, who are seriously beginning to wonder if the game will ever see the light of day, after so much trouble in the world. development as within Activision Blizzard.
But now, we shed some light with the popular hero-shooter franchise, which is aiming for a mobile version. A Recent job posting for a Product Manager seems to indicate that a mobile version of the FPS may well be in development.
“Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Product Manager to help us create the best mobile gaming experiences in the world. This person will be working on various titles: Diablo, Overwatch, Hearthstone and many other great games.”
Not that surprising when you consider that the studio had warned in the past that Overwatch was just the beginning and that ambition was extend the license beyond the FPS. At the moment, this is the only information we have. But it seems logical to ask questions regarding the rather chaotic development experienced by the second installment of the franchise.
After the release of Overwatch on Switch, Blizzard may be looking to expand its Asian community, as the continent is particularly fond of mobile games. Although at the moment, we cannot say much more until there are official data.
