The Xbox and Bethesda conference broadcast last Sunday was the scene of many revelations. Communication around Overwatch 2 just got underway. Following a surprise appearance during the Xbox-Bethesda conference, the sequel’s developersSupervision felt that this was not enough and that it was necessary to hit hard during this post-conference week. just yesterday we had new elements about the second phase of the beta which will start on June 28. In the meantime, the teams have gathered for a fairly substantial presentation of over forty minutes which you will find below.

Between images of the game design, gameplay clips and other scenes, the developers took turns talking about the qualities of Overwatch 2 and what will make this game a sequel to its big brother. On this occasion, therefore, the economic model of the title and the additions that will expand the game during the months following its launch were discussed. In addition, the teams remind us: Overwatch 2 will be released as free-to-play on October 4. Here’s what’s in store for Season 1…and beyond!

Launch surveillance 2Fans of the first part will not be out of place: they will find some familiar characters, while some new ones will appear. For Season 1 alone, Blizzard mentions three new heroes : Sojourn and La Reine des Junkers (which will be playable during the second beta) have already been introduced, there is only one new hero left – he will be a support – who will give us an appointment next month!
However, these are not the only elements that Blizzard promises us for season 1. Specifically, it will be about presenting 6 new maps, a new game mode — baptized as “Push” and that will also have its own menu — and a host of new skins, including a legendary one. The continuation ? Blizzard already has it planned since the study points out a nine-week rotation between seasons And we already know what season 2, scheduled for December 6, and the following ones, have in store for us! The only drawback for now: the PvE deployment (Player vs Environment) which will only take place in 2023, a few months after the launch of the title.
