It’s the time of year when all sorts of video game conferences are broadcast, or at least advertised. Blizzard – the developer behind series like Diablo, Surveillance y world of warcraft He hasn’t hosted his own in-person event for a while, but it looks like that will change next year.
Addressing the Los Angeles Times Recently, Blizzard boss Mike Ybarra explained that the company wanted to go back to a “live event” and once again celebrate with its community. Going as far as to say that a new chef has been hired for this event:
“We previously announced that we would be taking a break from BlizzCon while reimagining it for the future, but we want to return to a live event that allows us to celebrate the community. We recently hired a new BlizzCon leader, April McKee, who is hard at work on this front. … We are committed to bringing BlizzCon back to 2023.”

Blizzard has canceled BlizzCon live events in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic. And after this, the 2022 digital event was removed due to ongoing accusations against the company.
Blizzard is hard at work on Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4.
