Almost all corona figures are rising again. There are again more than 2,000 corona patients in hospitals. The number of patients is only falling in the intensive care units, according to preliminary figures from health institute Sciensano. “The virus circulation is increasing again, but that is a logical consequence of the relaxation,” said virologist Steven Van Gucht on Friday about the rising numbers.

Between March 5 and 11, daily averages 7.936 new infections detected. That is 31 percent more than in the seven days before.

More corona patients are still ending up in hospitals. Between 8 and 14 March it was about average 151,4 admissions, up 7 percent from the previous week.
