DRACHTEN – Traffic chaos arose on Tuesday afternoon on the Noorderhogeweg between ATH De Boer and Rottevalle. The cause was an overturned NNRD trailer.
The trailer was overturned on Tuesday afternoon on the entry lane of the Wâldwei (N31) from the Noorderhogeweg under Drachten.
The driver had just taken the bend after which the trailer overturned and all the contents fell onto the road and onto the verge. No one was injured in the accident.
The NNRD has sent another driver with a truck to collect the mess. The junk was loaded into a new container with a crane.
As a result of the accident, a large traffic jam developed at the interchange.
