The Chane Ki Chune Group’s press center employs 221 people, 83 of whom work in Daily and Visu. Created in 1976, this newspaper is one of the two daily newspapers on the island and distributes around 17,000 copies.
His colleague, the Journal de la Réunion Island, created in 1951, is also facing serious financial difficulties. The two newspapers have benefited in recent months from more than 3.5 million euros in aid paid by the Regional Council.
