In the village of Oosterblokker, near Hoorn, an order was given this afternoon to evacuate an area with a radius of 500 meters. A gas pipe had overheated during work. At around 4.15 pm, Gasunie reported that the danger had passed. Research is still being done on the spot.

Mid-afternoon, many people in the area received a NL alert, with the advice to leave the area. Train traffic between Hoorn and Hoogkarspel was also stopped.
