Overdue receivables: 8.9% increase at the end of May

Overdue receivables continue to rise. At the end of last May, the outstanding amount reached 73.7 billion DH, archiving an increase of 8.9% year-on-year and 5.5% compared to the end of December 2019, according to indicators from Bank Al-Maghrib ( BAM). Non-financial debts owed by private non-financial corporations reach DH 40.98 billion, up 5.8% year-on-year, while those of households amount to DH 32.05 billion, an increase of 14.4 % compared to the end of May 2019. In addition, the claims of other non-financial companies decreased by 21.9% to 658 million DH.
