Dubai – Mubasher: A report issued by EZDubai, the area entirely dedicated to e-commerce in Dubai South, expects the size of the e-commerce market in the Middle East and North Africa region to reach $57 billion in 2026, equivalent to a compound annual growth rate of 11% during the period from 2022 to 2026.
According to the report, the total size of the e-commerce market in the region will reach $37 billion in 2022, registering a compound annual growth rate of 32% over the period from 2018 to 2022..
The report attributed this expected growth of the e-commerce market in the Middle East and North Africa region to the strong use of the Internet and advanced infrastructure and policies.
According to the report, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Israel accounted for 72.1% of the total market size.
The acquisition of these three countries from the e-commerce market in the region is due to certain factors, including the technical progress of their population, high rates of Internet use, and others.
The report indicated that companies in the UAE benefit from electronic stores that are limited to virtual presence, which contributes to simplifying inventory management and facilitating deliveries.
The rapid population growth in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, technological progress and the development of secure payment systems have led to the strengthening of its strong performance in the e-commerce sector..
