Eva Hermans-Kroot (26), who is famous for the mobile program ‘Over My Corpse’, has just announced on Instagram that she has completed her treatment. A few weeks ago she started a new treatment in the hope of prolonging her life, but unfortunately this did not help. Eva has been fighting lung cancer since 2021.

“I have finished my treatment”

Eva writes on Instagram: ‘I have finished my treatment. Last Monday I spoke to Matthijs [haar vriend, red.] that I didn’t feel good about the treatment.’ She says she became short of breath and had to cough more often. “Maybe it comes from fear, I thought, and just preparing for bad news. ”

Eva continues: ‘Today I was finally allowed to return after four weeks to see if my new treatment was working.’ She explains that she was much longer about the scan this time than usual. ‘Maybe because in my head a lot depended on him now. If this doesn’t work, there are no new treatments.’

She says she could immediately read from the doctor’s face that it was bad news. “Once in the room, he said, clearly under the influence, that he didn’t do anything,” Eva writes. She says the doctor is going to give her osimertinib again, to that the cancer cells do not ‘explode in growth’. When Eva asked if she had now finished her treatment, the doctor replied: “Unfortunately, yes, and to prevent it.” the cancer from growing too much, we give you osimertinib.”

Big blow to Eva. She says she doesn’t know how long she’s been gone. ‘This could be two months, but also six months.’ She ends her message by saying that the news has not completely sunk in yet. “I feel quite,” said Eva.

In February, Eva spoke openly about how she was doing. Then metastases were found in her liver. You can watch the video below.
