The health of Eva Hermans-Kroot (26), who is known from the program ‘Over My Corpse’, has declined again. In a heartbreaking update, Eva, who is suffering from lung cancer, says she has been told by doctors she ‘might not make it to Christmas’. Eva was recently told that she had finished her treatment, after which she suffered more and more complaints.
“It’s not quite setting in yet”
“Bad news,” Eva begins her Instagram post. ‘I got my results earlier than expected.’ The result Eva received from the doctor was, in her own words, ‘bad and not a little bad’. A scan showed that Eva has double pneumonia, that her cancer has grown and that she has half a liter of fluid in her lungs.

“I now have to stop taking my cancer medicine, because it causes pneumonia,” Eva writes. In the hospital, Eva received a terrible message. “If it doesn’t go down soon, it could be over for me in a few weeks,” she writes. ‘I feel defeated and it hasn’t quite sunk in yet.’ Eva, who was told in March 2021 that she had lung cancer, knew that such a message was coming. “But to hear that I might not make it to Christmas again, that means a lot to me. I’m really hoping the prednisone will do something and my cancer will stay a little calmer.’
