New York State has surpassed one million COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began, according to figures announced by Governor Cuomo.
This Friday 15,000 new cases were registered, out of 202,000 tests carried out.
The infection rate statewide is 7.45%.
Hospitalizations have dropped from the day before, but still number more than 7,800 cases.
And 128 New Yorkers died from the virus statewide.
In the city, more than 3,600 new cases of coronavirus were reported on Friday.
The Mayor’s office reported that the infection rate, in an average of 7 days, is now more than 9%.
There were more than 200 new hospitalizations.
