The number of active cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria exceeded 90,000. 5643 infections were detected during the last 24 hours in 41,613 tests, according to the updated data of the Unified Information Portal at midnight. 86.99% of the cases for the day were not vaccinated.
Positive samples are 13.6 percent of those tested.
Most new cases are in the capital – 1627, followed by Varna with 534 and Plovdiv with 474 newly infected.
7373 patients are already being treated in the hospital, 607 are in intensive care units. Of the 902 newcomers to the hospital, nearly 90 percent have not been vaccinated.
154 people died, 93.5% of them were not vaccinated.
2225 are listed as cured.
25,424 doses of the vaccine were given on Wednesday. The number of people with a completed vaccination cycle is now 1,479,038. There are 15,370 with a booster dose.
The national information system shows that in our country the new coronavirus has been found in a total of 15,677 medical staff. 84 new cases have been registered in the past 24 hours.
