BGN 128,756,048 50,651 farmers received the state aid “Aid to support the liquidity of farmers to overcome the negative economic impact of Russian aggression against Ukraine” and “Aid to support the liquidity of farmers, producers of grain and oil crops, to overcome the negative economic impact of Russian aggression against Ukraine”.
This became possible after the Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Georgi Tahov held a number of meetings with the industry and the Ministry of Finance. As a result, the Council of Ministers approved an additional resource in the amount of 125 million. BGN for the additional payment under the aid for 2024.
With this payment, the commitment made by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr. Georgi Takhov to pay the rest of the money for the Ukrainian aid by the end of November was fulfilled.
For 2024 nearly 653 million were paid for the Ukrainian aid. BGN (BGN 652,915,154).
