France passed the bar of 4,000 people who died of coronavirus in hospitals on Wednesday, with 4,032 deaths recorded in the past month, including 509 in the last 24 hours, the highest new daily assessment, announced the Director General of Health.
A total of 24,639 people are now hospitalized, 1,882 more than Tuesday. Among them, the influx of heavy cases in intensive care continues with more than 6,000 people in intensive care: 6,017 (+452), or “more than the initial capacity of France” before hospitals increase their capacity, said Professor Jérôme Salomon.
