Students from over 280 schools in thirteen regions of the country will not study on Monday due to the complicated situation – lack of electricity, interrupted internet, broken wires, impassable roads, etc. The decisions on this were taken today by regional crisis headquarters, regional governors and mayors of municipalities, the Ministry of Education and Culture reported.
The situation is most critical in the Dobrich region – there will be no schooling in 67 schools from 8 municipalities – Balchik, General Toshevo, Dobrich, Dobrichka, Kavarna, Krushari, Tervel and Shabla.
In the Varna region, the day is closed for a total of 11 schools (in the municipalities of Aksakovo, Vetrino and Valchi dol) and 4 kindergartens in the municipality of Valchi dol.
In the Shumen district, there will be a non-school day for children in 45 schools from 10 municipalities – Shumen, Khitrino, Smyadovo, Novi Pazar, Nikola Kozlevo, Kaspichan, Kaolinovo, Varbitsa, Venets and Veliki Preslav.
In Razgrad region, 53 schools in 7 municipalities – Zavet, Isperih, Kubrat, Loznitsa, Razgrad, Samuil and Tsar Kaloyan will not be taught. Due to the declared state of emergency, it is possible that there will be no school on Tuesday either, but this will be decided at the meetings of the relevant crisis headquarters.
The situation is difficult in Sliven district, where due to lack of electricity, 10 schools in the municipality of Kotel will not study.
In the Plovdiv municipalities of Parvomai, Lucky and Sadovo, there will be no classes in a total of 3 schools.
In 14 schools from the municipalities of Lovech and Troyan, there will be no classes either. 12 schools remain closed in the municipalities of Mezdra, Byala Slatina and Krivodol of the Vrachan region.
In Gabrovo and Sevlievo, another 25 institutions (schools and one CSOP) do not work on Mondays.
In Ruse, in 7 municipalities, a total of 27 schools have suspended the educational process – these are Borovo, Byala, Vetovo, Dve Mogili, Ivanovo, Sivo Pole and Cenovo.
In the Sofia region, 9 schools in the municipalities of Ihtiman, Godech and Slivnitsa will not be taught.
In the two schools in Varshtec, Montana district, they also stay at home.
In the municipality of Veliko Tarnovo, there will be no classes by order of the mayor. This applies to Pavlikeni and Suhindol municipalities and kindergartens in several villages of Svishtov municipality. He will study in Gorna Oryahovitsa, but not in the other settlements of the municipality.
There are still municipalities in which meetings of the crisis headquarters continue and it is possible that there will be changes, about which there will be timely information.
