Over 2,200 guests will attend the coronation ceremony of Charles III

More than 2,200 guests will attend the coronation ceremony of Britain’s King Charles III at Westminster Abbey on May 6.

There will be senior representatives from 203 countries, as well as charities, religious and ethnic communities. Nobel Prize winners will be among the guests.

There will also be 400 young representatives of charitable organizations who will be able to watch the ceremony and the subsequent royal procession from the church “St. Margaret”, which is close to the abbey, BTA reported.

By comparison, Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation 70 years ago drew 8,200 guests to Westminster Abbey. But Charles III requested a more modest ceremony.

Elizabeth II died in September aged 97.
