over 1,900 hp and 2,300 Nm (with video)

More than a year after the presentation of the model, the Croatians from Rimac announce that they have started the production of the Nevera electric. The world’s first zero-emission hypercar comes with a four-engine electric propulsion system. Together they deliver over 1,900 horsepower.

This is a milestone for a small company like Rimac. The new hypercar is the result of “five years of development and testing, three generations of propulsion technology, 18 prototypes, 45 physical impact tests and over 1.6 million collective hours of research and development.”

The first Rimac Fridge series is finished in a pearly shade Callisto Green. The car comes with Graphite Vertex rims and a sand-colored Alcantara leather interior. The model was present last month at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The car with chassis number # 000 will remain in the possession of the Bugatti-Rimac alliance as a demonstration and marketing model.

Starting this summer, Rimac Fridge will be produced at a rate of 50 units per year. This means that all 150 planned units will be ready in 2024. According to information provided by Croatian officials, the first 50 units have already been purchased.

The Nevera copies from the first year of production are ready and have already been purchased. According to Rimac, Nevera owners want to experience the world’s first all-electric hypercar as soon as possible.

Rimac officials say it took five weeks to build each refrigerator. Many of the parts, components and systems were made several months ago by the company’s subsidiaries.

Nevera’s body is made entirely of carbon fiber. Customers have a palette of 36 different shades for the exterior and can even order a unique color. Inside we find Alcantara leather, contrasting accents and metallic finishes. Rimac promises that each of the 150 copies of the Fridge will be unique.

From a technical point of view, the new Rimac Nevera comes with a propulsion system consisting of four electric motors. Together they generate 1,914 hp and 2,360 Nm of torque. Under these conditions, the zero-emission hypercar is able to achieve the 0-100 km / h sprint in just 1.85 seconds. The refrigerator also travels a quarter of a mile in 8,582 seconds.

As I said, the production of Rimac Nevera started at the plant in Sveta Nedelja. Once the production process is completed, the cars will be delivered through the global network of dealers. It has 25 official partners in Europe, the USA, the Middle East and Asia.
