Renfe has issued more than 1,900 free passes for Media Distancia rail services in La Rioja, valid for travel between January 1 and April 30.
The Government approved on December 27, 2022 the free of these services and 50 percent discounts for Avant services. From then to date, Renfe has issued 1,915 free multi-trip tickets with origin or destination in one of the Media Distancia stations in La Rioja.
TWO MILLION SUBSCRIPTIONS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY
In the country as a whole, Renfe has exceeded two million free passes and Avant services discounted at 50%. Of the total number of free multi-journey tickets issued, 1.5 million correspond to passes to travel in the different nuclei of Cercanas, Rodalies and Cercanas Ancho Metrico, while 475,000 are Medium Distance passes.
In addition to the free subscriptions for recurring customers, Renfe has sold more than 67,000 tickets with 50% Avant discounts to be used on high-speed Media Distancia services.
To expedite the acquisition of passes and avoid unnecessary waiting, management is recommended through the Cercanas Renfe app or, in the case of Media Distancia and Avant passes, through the website www.renfe.com. To do this, the client must be previously registered.
