The State Fund “Agriculture” (DFZ) transferred practically BGN 80.5 million (BGN 80,432,866) below The eco scheme „Diversification of cultivated crops” (Eco-ROC). Fee 19,535 farmers obtained. The charges at which the subsidies are paid are decided by order of the Minister of Agriculture and Meals. For farms as much as 10 ha, they’re within the quantity of BGN 75.10 per ha, for farms between 10 and 30 ha, the assist is BGN 57.89 per ha and BGN 31.29 per ha for farms over 30 ha.
The eco scheme for diversifying cultivated crops is a part of the package deal of schemes for local weather, setting and animal welfare – eco schemes included within the Strategic Plan 2023 – 2027. It’s voluntary and all farmers with arable land can apply for it.
We remind you that farmers who apply the next practices on their farms are entitled to assist below Eco-ROC:
- in agricultural holdings with areas of arable land and/or areas occupied by medicinal and fragrant crops as much as 10 ha, there are a minimum of 2 totally different crops, with the principle crop not exceeding 90% of those areas;
- in agricultural holdings with areas of arable land and/or areas occupied by medicinal and fragrant crops between 10 ha and 30 ha, there are a minimum of 3 totally different crops, with the principle crop not exceeding 75% of those areas, and the 2 predominant crops collectively overlaying no more than 90 % of them;
- in agricultural holdings with areas of arable land and/or areas occupied by medicinal and fragrant crops of greater than 30 ha, there are a minimum of 4 totally different crops, the principle crop not exceeding 75% of those areas, and the three predominant crops collectively overlaying not more than 90% of them
The aim of the Eco-ROC intervention is to extend the variety of crops grown within the agricultural holding. This method contributes to lowering the financial danger for the farm, a consequence of local weather change (adaptation and mitigation) by diversifying crops.
