All close contacts to the infected are quarantined. – We probably can not stop the spread completely, we are working to slow down the spread, says assistant district doctor in Frogner Tine Ravlo.

More than 120 people have now been confirmed infected with corona in connection with the outbreak at the Louise restaurant at Aker Brygge in Oslo, confirms Frogner’s assistant district doctor Tine Ravlo to VG.
– We work intensively with infection tracking. The outbreak of Louise’s infection has grown in scope. We trace infections and quarantine close contacts to everyone who has participated in the Christmas table, says Tine Ravlo.
Just over 70 of those infected attended the Christmas table of the solar energy company Scatec, while the rest were guests elsewhere at the nightclub. At least 13 of the infected have had the omicron variant of the coronavirus confirmed, while screening of the samples shows that it is probably about half.
On Saturday, Oslo Municipality asked everyone who was the relevant nightclub after 6 pm on Friday 26 November – and who had not already received follow-up – to test themselves and avoid contact with others until they receive a negative test result.
It is not realistic to put an end to the outbreak completely, according to the assistant district superintendent.
– We probably can not stop the spread completely, we are working to slow down the spread. We must follow the law. It gives us the opportunity to quarantine close contacts and the duty to test other close contacts. We quarantine everyone we have the opportunity to do, says Ravlo.
– On Lousie we have made continuous assessments every day. All guests and staff have already tested themselves with PCR. As the outbreak has grown in scope, an overall assessment was made yesterday and as there is a clear risk of further spread of infection, we quarantined all employees and all guests who were at Louise 26. 11.
This was done following a recommendation from FHi and with support from the Norwegian Directorate of Health, she points out.
It is not clear if any of the infected were vaccinated with the third dose.
– Those we know now have been fully vaccinated with two doses, says Ravlo.
She says they are not aware that any of the infected were vaccinated with the third dose. Vaccination with dose 3 has been recommended for people over 65 years of age, for people under 65 years of age with a serious underlying disease, and for healthcare professionals.
Whether any of the infected have been previously corona-positive will become clear when the results of the outbreak investigation that FHI assists them with are clear, according to the assistant district superintendent.
