More than a thousand nurses at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital prepare to start a strike on June 12.
Health workers have delivered a notice of work stoppage to the medical center. They voted to stop their duties in two weeks.
This comes after their employment contracts expired on April 30.
They demand a new agreement that includes the hiring of more health personnel and that offers greater protections, both for them and for their patients.
