The number of corona cases in Berlin continues to rise. As the health administration announced in its management report on December 12, 2020, 23 people have died since the previous day.
Before the announced tightening of the lockdown, the number of new infections increased by 1,038 to 78,250 cases compared to Friday. 57 655 people are considered to have recovered, 613 more than on Friday. The corona traffic light is still red for two indicators: With 188.9 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days, the critical mark of 50 new infections remains far exceeded. This value was highest in Spandau (277.3).

The critical value of 25 percent is also exceeded with the utilization of the intensive care beds with Covid 19 patients at 28.2 percent. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 813 people have died in Berlin after a corona infection.
