Over 100 new sexual abuse allegations against Sean Combs (Puff Daddy)

Accusations of sexual abuse are snowballing against Sean Combs, the hip hop mogul (also known as Puff Daddy and P. Diddy) indicted in New York for having forced a dozen former collaborators to engage in unwanted sex acts with him or in his presence. Tony Buzbee, a Texas lawyer, announced today that 120 other people have retained him to represent him in a new lawsuit against the contractor.
“The wall of silence has been broken,” Buzbee said. The accusers are men and women who were between 9 and 38 years old at the time of the attacks.

The number of new charges appears unprecedented in the #MeToo era. “The biggest secret in entertainment has finally been revealed to the world,” Buzbee said at a press conference in Houston. According to Andrew Van Arsdale, one of the accusers’ attorneys who has previously represented hundreds of harassment victims in a lawsuit against the Boy Scouts of America, the scope of the new complaints is “unprecedented.”
The abuse allegedly continued for twenty years starting in the early 2000s. Many accusers hoped to make it in the music business when they received invitations to attend events organized by Combs. The legal actions will be formalized in the next few days in New York, Los Angeles and Miami and will include names of accomplices – including Combs’ relatives -, places where the events allegedly took place, record labels and collaborators of the impresario: “Some are famous” , Van Arsdale said.

Combs is locked up awaiting trial in a Brooklyn jail. In the last few hours the former king of hip hop has presented a new appeal to be placed under house arrest.
